The Marketing Communications Lead will be responsible for crafting the overall Vanguard Renewables story and will collaborate with leadership to craft and bring these stories to life. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Biogas Operator performs skilled work that is necessary in operating an anaerobic digester, gas conditioning skid, associated digester and upgrader plant equipment. The facility is composed of a digester, pumps, gas blowers, compressors, oxygen generators, condensers, chillers, and related auxiliary equipment.
Resonsibilities:
- Adheres to, and has full working knowledge of, the company safety program. Will have limited oversight responsibility for outside maintenance contractors to ensure that they are working in a safe manner. Communicates with all personnel to stress the importance of a safe work environment. Required to isolate equipment following proper Lock-out Tag-Out procedures.
- Demonstrates knowledge of and supports the plant safety, health, and environmental programs in all activities. Contributes to incident investigations to reduce recurrence of accidents/incidents.
- Supports and promotes the philosophy of maintaining an accident/incident free workplace.
- Assist and support outside contractors with all onsite maintenance, including media change-outs, large equipment overhauls, and vacuum removal of solids from digesters.
- Monitor gas production of anaerobic digesters with a focus on O2 and H2S concentration.
- Complete hourly and daily rounds of plant equipment and capture fluid temps, pressures, oil levels, gas concentrations, process flows. Check equipment for proper operation looking for excessive vibration, fluid leaks and any conditions needing further attention. Accurately record all plant operational parameters and respond to unsatisfactory trends and remedy as needed.
- Conduct initial troubleshooting prior to calling in technicians and/or 3rd party contactors
- Learn from technicians and 3rd party contractors on servicing equipment to use in future scenarios to keep maintenance in-house
- Operate plant equipment including the pumps, blowers, and other related auxiliary equipment in accordance with manufacturer recommendation and established company policy.
- Participate in plant housekeeping programs and material handling safety activities to ensure safe working conditions.
- Participate in the planning and execution of preventative maintenance activities.
- Write work orders on work management software to track repairs and scheduled maintenance

Operations Manager

Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Operations Manager will have the overall responsibility for managing day-to-day operations. In this role, the Operations Manager will be responsible for management of an operations team, maintenance of the anaerobic digestors including all mechanical and technical aspects. This position is also responsible for controlling costs and maximizing revenues, as well as for creating and maintaining operational procedures and maintenance plans.
Responsibilities:
- Manages a team of employees, including interviewing, hiring, training, and disciplining employees, and conducting performance evaluations, apportions work between and directs the work of operations employees.
- Controls operations costs and maximizes profits by gaining efficiencies in output of electric or gas flow.
- Analyzes and develops solutions for any day-to-day operational issues that arise on site.
- Educates operations team on the company safety program and ensures that the team complies with all plant safety, health, and environmental policies.
- Develops maintenance plans for equipment and participates in oversight of outside maintenance contractors to ensure that they are working in a safe manner.
- Ensures an accident-free workplace
- Monitor plant equipment and gas production of anaerobic digesters on a daily basis to ensure safety and compliance with operational parameters. Ensure that any issues are promptly reported and determine best solutions for resolving the issues.

Reporting to the National Retail Sales Manager, the Retail Program Associate will play a crucial role in managing relationships with our existing retail clients, collaborating with internal VR teams to solve problems, and fielding inquiries via phone, email, and client service portals. The Retail Program Associate will onboard new retail clients and provide world class customer service. This position requires the ability to manage large food and beverage organic waste programs. Responsibilities

The RevOps Associate will be a key member of our Organics Solutions team, responsible for supporting our team of business development representatives (BDRs) and sales reps with CRM and data-related trainings and tasks, building our CRM software to mature with the organization’s needs, maintaining and cleaning key data sources, and helping guide the overall strategy of Vanguard’s feedstock acquisition efforts. The role will sometimes be a supportive role similar to an administrative assistant, and other times be a project manager for driving systematic changes within the company.
Responsibilities
- CRM Management & Improvement: Build Vanguard’s CRM tool to be a streamlined software tool that could track end-to-end management of many departments’ workflows but primarily be the source of truth for all things feedstock acquisition. RevOps is a team that often plays a role connecting IT with sales. This will involve constantly making sure reps are trained on all of our systems.
- Data Management: Ensure that our CRM and other related systems have reliable, accurate data. This will often involve manual efforts, but the primary goal will be to reshape the system setups so that data accuracy will prevail without manual effort in the future.
- Reporting and Analysis: Build reports for leadership based on existing data that will inform the executive committee of the Organics Solutions department’s progress toward its goals and drive decision-making at a high level.
