Technical Director
The Technical Director will lead the implementation of transformative technologies, coordinating activities across technical, legal, financial, and operational areas. This role is committed to driving innovation and efficiency in project development and management.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Project Development and Management:

The Environmental, Sustainability and Governance (“ESG”) Manager is a highly visible and influential role within Vanguard Renewables. This position integrates responsibilities in environmental sustainability, governance, and PFAS contamination research and remediation. You will be an integral part of every department’s strategy, contributing to the company’s mission of bettering the world through smart and sustainable practices.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Ensure compliance with environmental policies and regulations across all Vanguard facilities.
· Develop and implement goals to improve efficiency and reduce waste companywide.
· Lead the creation and monitoring of departmental action plans to achieve sustainability objectives.
· Generate regular reports on departmental progress towards sustainability goals.
· Monitor relevant regulations and guidelines and provide expert advice on environmental issues to clients and regulatory agencies.
· Manage special projects related to ESG.
· Act as an in-house expert on environmental and sustainability matters for cross-functional projects.
· Submit required consumption and production reports to regulatory agencies.
· Conduct training sessions for employees on sustainability trends and company initiatives.
· Align with Public Relations and Government Affairs team(s) to enhance Vanguard’s reputation in sustainability through media and press releases.
· Conduct research and stay updated on emerging concerns such as PFAS and microplastics contamination and remediation practices.
· Collect and analyze samples to identify PFAS contamination in various media.
· Develop and implement remediation plans using technologies like soil washing and incineration.
· Network with internal and external stakeholders to build and maintain relationships.
· Prepare proposals and presentations for projects.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
· Significant experience in a high-level corporate sustainability role.
· Strong understanding of PFAS, environmental science, and regulatory frameworks.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Polished presentation skills.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
· Previous experience in the energy industry.
· Experience as part of a growing company.
· Positive attitude and a captivating presence.
