Finance & Accounting

The Accounting Manager will serve as the accounting subject-matter expert for all general ledger related topics at the corporate level as well as being involved with the existing operating assets and the ands the future assets being developed as part of the aggressive build-out program, reporting to the Corporate Controller.

  • Oversee, and responsible for, all general ledger related activity for the corporate, development, construction, and operating entities (currently in operations as well as being developed);

  • Develop effective teamwork relationships with all applicable business operating groups;

The facility is composed of a digester, pumps, gas blowers, compressors, oxygen generators, condensers, chillers, and related auxiliary equipment.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Adheres to, and has full working knowledge of, the company safety program. Will have limited oversight responsibility for outside maintenance contractors to ensure that they are working in a safe manner. Communicates with all personnel to stress the importance of a safe work environment. Required to isolate equipment following proper Lock-out Tag-Out procedures.

Reporting to the Development Manager and VP of Development, the Development Associate will be engaged in tasks ranging from financial analysis on potential and existing development projects to construction and permitting support.

  • Maintain complex acquisition and development models for all projects
  • Collect and integrate project data and underwriting assumptions, including construction cash flow requirements, operating income and expense projections and financing assumptions for project proformas

  • Manage all development projects and related functions and activities

Sustainability

The Farmer Engagement Manager reports to the Chief Sustainability Officer and leads programs and initiatives that promote positive engagement between Vanguard Renewables and the farms with which we work. Initial focus will be supporting development activity associated with Vanguard Renewables Organics development teams. The role will work across Vanguard siting, development and operational teams to develop practices and promote a culture of high engagement with farms.   • Collaborate on development of outreach to the farm community, both existing farm partners and prospects including developing marketing and communication calendars for newsletters, social media, and other communications in concert with other internal teams
  • Support tours and events at digester facilities
  • Support engagement with dairy cooperatives and promotion organizations
  • Collaborate with siting, development and operations teams to promote high engagement with farms
  • Represent Vanguard at agricultural events and conferences

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • At least 5 years’ related experience with dairy farmer engagement
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong dairy farm operations, sales and/or business development background
  • Fluent in Salesforce
  • Excellent organizational and reporting skills
  • Outstanding written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Google docs
